ABOUT DR. GINDI
Dr. Gindi has been a leader and innovator in internal medicine since opening his private, primary care practice in 1982. An expert on developing practices for optimal patient care, Dr. Gindi has participated or chaired numerous hospital committees for bioethics, credentialing, physician monitoring and mentoring, and community service. He has served as Chief of Medicine and Chief of Staff at Century City Hospital, on voluntary faculty at both the UCLA and USC Schools of Medicine, and is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians (FACP).
Dr. Gindi is known as a unique, multi-faceted practitioner, who integrates a range of approaches from both Western and Eastern medicine to deliver state-of-the-art care. He directs one of the largest in-office laboratories in Los Angeles and maintains certification for radiology supervision by the American Board of Radiation Safety. He has also pioneered new methods for integrating acupuncture, Western European herbal medicine, and other alternative therapies into his practice.
Dr. Gindi is the founder of B.E.N.E.fit, a comprehensive cardiovascular risk reduction program that has been replicated across the country, which integrates nutrition counseling, hands-on fitness instruction, mindful thinking strategies, and gourmet food delivery to help his patients live longer, healthier lives.
Dr. Gindi is actively involved in a range of professional and charitable organizations. He is the medical director of the Los Angeles Retarded Citizen's Foundation (L.A.R.C.), and previously sat on the boards of the Century City Hospital Board of Governors and The John Thomas Dye School Board.
